With the start of the 2018 – 2019 school year fast approaching, parents, caregivers, teachers and students will be flooding school zones once again.

Complacency sets in when paths travelled over and over and tasks repeated become routine!

Please take the time to recognize and acknowledge these zones on your day to day travels, be aware of the times you travel through them, watch for the  unexpected, stay alert, focused and do not allow yourself to be distracted from this.

Parents, please take the time to discuss Crosswalk Safety and School Bus Safety with your students and your driving family members.

Stop, Look and Listen

Wait and watch for the walk signals

Make eye contact with pedestrian and drivers

Never assume the driver sees you, nor that the pedestrian sees the driver

Flashing Red means STOP

If the bus is stopped assume it is because a student may be loading or disembarking from the bus.
